Module 20

Module 20 discusses planning and zoning, including local planning agencies, the Growth Management Act, studies performed by planning commissions, zoning classifications and zoning ordinances, building codes and health ordinances, characteristics of a planned unit development, the National Flood Insurance Program, and various area calculations.

  7. Describe the characteristics of a planned unit development.
  8. Explain the provisions of the National Flood Insurance Program.
  9. Calculate the number of lots available for development given the total number of acres contained in a parcel, the percentage of land reserved for streets and other facilities, and the minimum number of square feet per lot.
